In order to run Ghost CFS, you need to have an Amazon Web Services Account (i.e. an Amazon.com account with AWS enabled) including enabling EC2 and SimpleDB. If you already have an AWS account with EC2 and SimpleDB enabled, skip to the Step2: Purchase the Ghost Cloud FS Product.

1. Go to http://aws.amazon.com and click on "Sign Up Now". Or simply click here to go there directly.

2. Choose "I am a new customer.", fill in your email address and then click "Sign in using our secure server". (If you have an existing Amazon.com account which you want to use for AWS then select instead "I am a returning customer…" and enter your password then skip to 4 below).

3. Fill in the registration form and then click "Create account".

4. Enter your contact information and confirm your acceptance of the AWS Customer Agreement.

5. Now your AWS account is created. Next sign up for the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service to be able to launch and manage your EC2 server instances. Click on "Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud".

6. Click on "Sign Up For Amazon EC2"

7. Scroll down the next page to reach a section where you have to enter your Credit Card Information for billing purposes:

8. Once you enter your credit card information, click "Continue" to move on to complete the sign up process. In this page, you can review Amazon AWS charges and then click on "Complete Sign Up" either at the top or bottom of the page.

9. Now, you need to create an Amazon SimpleDB account by clicking on "Amazon SimpleDB" in the "Explore Other Amazon Web Services" Section.

10. Click on "Sign Up For Amazon SimpleDB".

11. In the following page, click on "Complete Sign Up".

12. Now you need to get your Access Key and Secret Access Key needed to configure your Ghost AMI products. Click here to go directly to the Security Credentials section in your AWS account.

13. Scroll down to see your Access Keys under the Access Credentials Section and copy your Access Key ID to a safe place to use it later on when configuring CFS on your Ghost EC2 servers.

14. For the Secret Access Key, click on "Show" first and then copy it next to your Access Key ID.

Congratulations - you have an AWS account ready for purchasing and running Ghost CFS.
